Project status

Independent open-source project

NESpresso32 is an educational, experimental, and homebrew-oriented project for the ESP32-WROOM-32 microcontroller. It is created and maintained by Daniel Puente Garcia (Danilop95 / DVnilxpo) as a personal open-source project.

NESpresso32 does not include commercial ROMs. No ROM download links are provided. Do not commit ROM data to any public repository.
ROM use

Bring only software you can legally use

Users must only use ROMs they have the legal right to use. The website, source repository, and build pipeline must not include commercial ROMs or links to commercial ROM downloads.

Generated ROM translation units are local build artifacts. If they contain game data, they should remain on the user's machine and should not be committed to version control.

Good development inputs are:

  • Homebrew projects with clear distribution terms
  • Test ROMs specifically designed for emulator testing (e.g., nesdev.org test ROMs)
  • ROM images you own from original hardware

NESpresso32 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:

  • Nintendo owner of the NES, Nintendo Entertainment System, and related trademarks
  • Nestlé / Nespresso owners of the Nespresso trademark
  • Espressif Systems designer of the ESP32 microcontroller

All trademarks, product names, and company names mentioned are the property of their respective owners. References to hardware, game systems, or software formats are used for compatibility and educational context only.
